James Laxer scares the crap out of me.

Is Barack Obama the Bob Rae of the United States? (It's a good post and all, but it's persuasive to an extent I don't like to think about.)

If you think that's scary, watch Rex Murphy's latest rant, apparently everyone is a Bob Rae fan now. Of course, Murphy simplifies it to spending during a recession is the same as Rae, when it's more apt to say blind and stupid spending is a Rae thing (which doesn't exempt some leaders).

You pay attention to Rex Murphy? ;) Spending during a recession makes sense to me. Not spending enough or spending poorly is clearly problematic. From what I recall, Rae's problem was a combination; while Obama's problem seems to be mostly (if not entirely) the former.
